Yellow Warnings for East Lothian
The Met Office has issued
YELLOW Warning
for the East Lothian for Sunday 20th to Monday 21st February for high winds.

Starts: 12:00 GMT on Sun 20 February
Ends: 12:00 GMT on Mon 21 February
Very strong winds are expected across parts of Northern Ireland, Scotland and also some Irish Sea coasts. – There is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs – There is a small chance that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties – There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected

DART are in communication with the ELC and monitoring the local situation.
Please make sure that you tie down or put away items in your gardens that may be blown around by the storms.

Dirleton Area Resilience Team (DART) is part of the East Lothian Council Emergency Response Plan and is affiliated to the Gullane Community Council.
DART activities are activated by the ELC when appropriate to assist in local resilience / emergency issues.
A decision has been made to stand down DART following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and is effective from the 31st July 2020.
